Planting of an ‘Aleppo’ Pine

Planting of an ‘Aleppo’ Pine to commemorate the Centenary of the end of the Battle of Lone Pine after which four men of Pompey Elliott’s 7th Battalion, including Ballarat’s William Dunstan, were awarded the Victoria Cross. Followed by the unveiling of a plaque commemorating the Centenary of the raising of 18th Company Australia Army Service Corps.
The Ballarat Ranger Military Museum, with a gold coin entry, will be open after the services. Morning Tea will be provided.
