Nhill Fly In

Major planning is complete for the Fly In
to be held on Saturday October 20th at the Nhill aerodrome from 12 noon to 4pm.  Main features will be the attendance of  a member of the Roulettes team ,a Mustang, Wirraway,  Winjeel, Trojan, several Tiger Moths and a number of other aircraft of WWII vintage . Static displays will include examples of the restoration of our Avro Anson and other aircraft engines and parts.
If you are intending to come you may like to make it a ‘long weekend’. The Nhill A&P Society Show will be held on Thursday Oct 18th and the following day there will be a number of activities held in and around the town. Transport and accommodation will be available.
On Saturday evening, after the Fly- In, an evening meal will be available for pilots and partners where there will be a special presentation by Tony Schwerdt who organised the amazing recovery of the first Australian-built Mustang from the Atomic test site at Emu in the Great Victoria Desert. Bookings for 80 places are now being taken on a first come first served basis and bookings will be taken on arrival at Nhill on the day until all places are filled. Please advise of any accommodation needs you may require in Nhill.
