Curator Tour – 1966: The Year That Changed the World

Dr Ian Jackson will take a guided tour of the 1966 exhibition exploring the events of 1966, a momentous year for Australia. In 1966, thousands of Australian service men and women served in Southeast Asia at the height of the Cold War.
Australia redoubled its commitment to the Vietnam War by sending a complete Task Force with, controversially, the first conscripts to serve overseas since the Second World War.

At the Battle of Long Tan, the Task Force faced its hardest test so far.
