The Second Battle of Krithia 100 Years On

Christopher Wray will discuss the events of the critical afternoon of 8 May 1915, when Sir James McCay, Commander of the 2nd (Victorian) Brigade took part in the final attempt to reach and break through the Turkish lines at the village of Krithia. Christopher will speak about this devastating battle 4 miles north of Cape Helles where McCay’s brigade lost nearly a third of its strength.
