Screening: Forty Thousand Horsemen

In a cinematic tribute to the mounted troops of the Australian Light Horse regiments, director Charles Chauvel presents his 1940 feature-length film Forty Thousand Horsemen. Featuring iconic Australian actors, Grant Taylor, Chips Rafferty and Pat Twohill, the story follows three best mates through challenging times as soldiers Рfrom mischief in Cairo in 1916 through to the action of the Australian Light Horse in the charge of Beersheba. Join us for our first film screening in the Shrine’s new auditorium.
