The Canberra Bomber Symposium

Aviation Enthusiasts Down Under (AEDU) are pleased to present the Canberra Bomber Symposium.

To be held on Saturday 7th September 2024 at the conclusion of the Temora Aviation Museum’s September Aircraft Showcase.

The Temora Aviation Museum’s September 2024 Aircraft Showcase will feature all serviceable aircraft from the RAAF 100 SQN Historic Flight Collection at the Temora Aviation Museum, which includes the Supermarine Spitfire, Lockheed Hudson, Wirraway, Tiger Moth, Ryan STM S2, and many more visiting Warbirds.

We also have an extra bonus added to this showcase. Aviation Enthusiast Downunder will be hosting “ THE CANBERRA BOMBER SYMPOSIUM” in the display hangar following the conclusion of the days flying. 

• Experience the Canberra Bomber in the air & on the ground.
• Learn about the history of the GAF Canberra Bomber in service to Australia.
• Join us with a live panel of ex-serving members discussing their experiences working with the jet.
• Chat with the panel members, Museum staff who maintain the aircraft & serving members who fly the 100 SQN Canberra Bomber.
• Visit the Aviation Enthusiasts Down Under stand, meet team members & check out the range of Aviation Photography on display.

10.30am: Flightline walk

11.00am: Flying commences

1.30pm: Flying concludes 

2.00pm: Canberra Symposium commences in display hanger

Aircraft Showcase promises to deliver a full day of entertainment for all generations, including:

• Flying displays demonstrating the aircraft’s capabilities
• Informative commentary and music
• Guided tour of static exhibition
• Interviews with pilots and veterans
• Children’s playground
• Pilot meet and greet

Our Mess Hall serves freshly cooked food and a selection of cold refreshments and Food vendors will be available on the day. Barista coffee is also available and you are also welcome to bring your own picnic to enjoy in our shaded seating or grassed areas.
